About Me

After being a journalist in the U.S. and India, I moved to Canada in 2022 as a master’s student. In 4 months, I got a full-time job at a financial services firm in corporate communications. Although I was freelancing at the time, I took the job because I was so attracted to the $$$$ it offered.But soon, it destroyed my mental health and shook my confidence. I quit in just 3 months with no real plan, only a vacation to Mexico but a strange sense of satisfaction.In the summer of 2023, I restarted my freelance career as a PR consultant with just one client who offered me $1,000 a month. A year later, I became the founder of Vaishali Gauba Media — a PR agency with clients all over North America. Some days can still feel stressful but I have what matters the most to me:✅ Financial, location, and time freedom/ (I have worked from 6 countries since 2023.)
✅ A no-permission-needed work life (“asking” for things at work made me very anxious).
✅ Full autonomy over my income and growth. (I not only multiplied my income but I reward myself and my team for the work we do.)
